13. Was It All a Dream?
(Heikkilä-McGowan)

This seems to be the last of my 'juvenilia' Did I really rhyme 'ice cream' with 'dream'? Maybe I've got multiple personalities and someone else wrote this. But Tarja sings it quite beautifully. --Davy

I certainly hope you wrote this for Tarja to sing and not for me! So, please, stop whining. Here you have it. Be happy. --Jore

Once there was a little cottage
By a burbling stream
Once I was a little girl there
Was it all a dream?
Was it all a dream?

Once I wandered through the meadows
Eating cold ice cream
Once the summer never ended
Was it all a dream?
Was it all a dream?

Once I'd sit down by the fireside
Stitch and sew and seam
Watching faces in the flames form
Was it all a dream?
Was it all a dream?

Once I found life oh so easy
Danced with the sunbeams
Made a daisy chain and skipped home
Was it all a dream?
Was it all a dream?
