18. Polly, Molly, Dolly
(Heikkilä-McGowan)

Polly, Molly, bloody Dolly??? I can't remember anything about this - but if Jore says I wrote the poem I suppose I must have. Apologies all round! --Davy

No can do. Pretty little song here from the naivéte site of the box. Looks like you sent it to me May 8th, 2005. And already forgot that? --Jore

Polly was a midwife,
Midwifery did she,
She said, "It's time," and out they popped,
One, two, three

Molly was a serving wench
She knew his lordship's tricks,
She poured the wine into his cups,
Four, five, six.

Dolly was a scullery maid,
She made the silver shine,
And set spoons on the tablecloth,
Seven, eight, nine.
