2. In Da House
(McGowan)

I went through a phase recently of just randomly selecting a drum beat from the 500 available on my recording equipment and then writing a song based on the beat. This was one of them. This is what we mean when we say there's a fair bit of 'experimental' material on these cds. It's not anything near what I'd normally consider doing - but it was fun. The lyrics are about the expenses scandal that engulfed Parliament in the UK last year - with almost every Member of Parliament ripping off the taxpayer at every opportunity. Scores have been forced to pay money back - including the Prime Minister - several have been charged by the police and court cases are pending. --Davy

Get real, listen - here's the deal
No one gives a damn bout how you feel
You're down - nearly on the ground
No one round you gonna want you around
Got no place in the human race
Everybody sick and tired seein' your face
Your line's almost out of time
Nothing's gonna make us change our minds
You used up all that's in the tub
Greasing them palms and making them rub
Yellow, blue or red, listen what I said - you're done

New red, old blue
Sunshine yellow with a chequebook too
You claim, we blame
Watch you squirm trying to hide your shame
Fixed grin, we saw
All tied up in the spirit of the law
No way - now you gotta pay
The people gonna talk and have their say
You used up all that's in the tub
Greasing them palms and making them rub
Yellow, blue or red, listen what I said - you're done
