9. Can't Pass The Test
(McGowan)

This was the only out-take from 'The Bohemian Goddess'. Too many verses and too many 'Can't Pass The Tests'. I'd make it shorter if I was doing it again. Last I heard it was just an acoustic demo but sounds like Jore's added a bass and some percussion - which has helped it along a bit. --Davy

Love is only feeling the way you're meant to be
Love is only seeing the way you're meant to see
But I can't pass the test at all
Life will never turn out the way you want it too
Every silver lining hides a shade of blue
I can't pass the test at all

Faith may well move mountains, it never yet moved me
Maybe that's the way that it's meant to be
I can't pass the test at all
Faith to me is another word for fumbling around blind
Never asking questions before you leave this world behind
I can't pass the test at all

Hope it springs eternal in a young man's heart
I'm not a young man anymore, though I can play the part
But I can't pass the test at all
Hoping against hope is something I do very well
How it's gonna work out's something only time will tell
I can't pass the test at all

Charity begins at home, I've heard some people say
I give myself some charity every single day
But I can't pass the test at all
I cut myself some slack and try to forgive and forget
The people I have been and the places where they met
But I can't pass the test at all
