14. Susan
(Heikkilä-McGowan)

A poem of mine with Jore's music. I did once know a Susan but it was purely platonic. Jore's singing again! He must be getting used to it by now. --Davy

This was fun to make. The instrument on the end (where singing ends) is called Puerto Rican cuatro. Nothing to do with Venezuelan cuatro. Or Suzi Quattro. --Jore

I loved Susan with the long blonde hair
She had only one mouth, but I didn't care
Only one nose above it, only two eyes too
And her true two eyes were a turkishblue

I loved Susan but she turned me down
With her two blue eyes in a turkish frown
I offered my heart and a Kinks LP
But she said I was being far too kinky

I loved Susan but what can you do
When the one that you love won't love you?
I packed up my troubles in an old brown trunk
Then I went out drinking till I fell down drunk
