14. Lies
(McGowan)

Ah - I confess to having had a whale of a time recording this - scandalously sexist though it may be. It was just so much FUN! Another song based on a drumbeat - it amazes me what can be done with just a drumbeat as a foundation stone. My mix is murky - but it's a murky kind of song. --Davy

She tells lies, lies, lies
Some small, some big, some supersize
Lies, lies, lies
It's not just you, she tells all the guys
Lies, lies, lies
She got her pockets full of alibis
And lies, lies, lies
And to tell you the truth it ain't no surprise
To find her lying just to save her skin
To find her lying just to reel you in
To find her lying on the bedroom floor
With her legs wide open crying more, more, more
Of those lies, lies, lies

She tells lies, lies, lies
And if they gave an award she'd get the Nobel Prize
For those lies, lies, lies
She can't stop, not that she ever tries
Those lies, lies, lies
She gonna swear to God and hope she dies
Lies, lies, lies
Yeah, like I said, it ain't no surprise
To find her lying right in your face
To find her lying all over the place
To find her lying in your bed at night
Where you don't mind lying till the morning light
With those lies, lies, lies
