THE GHOST GIRL

It was there I saw her - one foggy night
Between those trees she came in sight;
I called to her - I thought her lost
Then I discovered to my cost
She wasn't really there at all
And she could never hear my call

Did she seem happy? Was she sad?
A shiver shook me and I had
A feeling never known before
A horror chilled me to my core;
Then she turned and looked my way
And my grey hair dates from that day.
04. The Ghost Girl
(Heikkilä-McGowan) I couldn't find a melody of my orvot storage that would fit exactly to this poem but I found one that could match if I used it spoken. The feeling would be good anyway, kind of scary. But I'm not a poetry reciter, for God's sake. --Jore I think Jore's does a fine job as a poetry reciter - and he did well to fit the 'ghostly' music to my poem. --Davy
