17. Somewhere
(Heikkilä - McGowan)

I made the basic lyric idea for this happy orvot music, but the only line left by me is 'somewhere there's a tree that can see when the bee bends it's knee' , everything else is from Davy. Now he gets the credits! --Jore

Kind of Caribbean feel in the rhythm of this one. Not a classic lyric by any means but it's a fun song. I suppose this would be the single from the album. --Davy

somewhere there's a past that'll last moving fast, die is cast
somewhere there's the chance of romance at a dance in the manse

i know we all want something
i don't know what
i know it's never one thing
or what we have got

somewhere there's a train or a plane in the rain in my brain
somewhere there's a sound to be found going around underground

i know that life's a rat race
i don't know why
i know we wear a long face
and sometimes we cry

somewhere there's a man with a plan, call him dan if you can
somewhere there's a tree that can see when the bee bends it's knee
somewhere there's a train or a plane in the rain in my brain
somewhere there's a sound to be found going around underground

somewhere there's the hope of a pope on a rope smoking dope
somewhere there's the fear of a tear in my beer. oh my dear!

i know that life's a long road
i don't know why
i know we all share the load
to where we will fly

somewhere there's a friend round the bend who will lend to the end
somewhere there's a song, sing along in hong kong with a gong

i know that life's a gamble
is it in the stars?
some stay while others ramble
on and on in bars

somewhere there's a cure for the pure, yes i'm sure. nothing's truer
somewhere there's a tree that can see when the bee bends it's knee
somewhere there's a train or a plane in the rain in my brain
somewhere there's a sound to be found going around underground
