08. Gypsy In The Rain
(McGowan)

Let the poor gypsy in! Maybe Davy was thinking of young Donovan and Gypsy Dave wandering, busking and freezing out at nights. Great instrumental. --Jore

I wrote this after an old gypsy lady appeared at my door in the pouring rain asking 'Would the lady of the house like to buy a bit of lace?' I thought such things stopped just after Dickens died and was amazed at this old lady trudging through the rain trying to sell bits of lace to a culture that prefers 50 inch wall-mounted TVs. --Davy
