The Road to Venezuela took me forty thousand miles,
I've seen so many people wearing multi-colour smiles.
Perhaps I was mistaken, I should have gone a different way,
When I find the Millionairess I'll say:
"Meet me where the pampas grass will touch the sky,
And Llamas fly above the blue lagoon."

A friend who went exploring on a distant Aztec hill,
Pursued a bella-vista like an artist often will.
There's some affiliation, Chan Canasta knew the line,
When I find the Millionairess she'll be mine
Meet me where the pampas grass will touch the sky,
And Llamas fly above the blue lagoon.

Receiving information from a man named Jungle Jim,
The trail was heading northwards, to a greasy world of sin.
I thought the matter over whilst consulting with a whore,
I don't want the Millionairess anymore.
Meet me where the pampas grass will touch the sky,
And Llamas fly above the blue lagoon.

02. The Road To Venezuela
(Stackridge) Hmm. Don't know the original. Strange track. Really can't tell if I like this or not. Some parts work pretty well, though. But it fits well to this compilation, that's for sure! --Jore A song by Stackridge. I'm not sure I like this either - I just recorded it as a 'Hello There' to my good friend Ade - who is Stackridge daft. It was an experiment that didn't entirely succeed but I had fun finding the chords myself - as they aren't on the web and it made an interesting hour of overdubbing for me. Normally I would probably have scrapped it - but anything goes in BMB land! --Davy
