I look in my mind
Only to find nobody's listening
And then I realize
To my surprise, gold isn't glistening

And everyone I know
Is just a fool like me
And everyone just wants
A guarantee

Then turning to you
What should I do? That is the question
Should I carry on
Till love has gone. What's your suggestion?

Cause everyone I know
Would disagree, it's true
And so I'm trying to get
Your point of view

But you never listened
To a word I said
Not even when we were
Making love in bed

02. In My Mind
(McGowan) Is Mark on this? This innocent poppish song carries us back somewhere to 70's or then it's just something I ate. Nice chord arrangement. I like minor chords inside Major chord field. --Jore Is Mark on this? Good question - but he isn't. I played everything. This was recorded on a day Mark was supposed to visit - but there was too much snow in Bellshill and he couldn't make it. This song was just an experiment to write a pop-type song from the mid 1960s. No awards being won - but I think there were worse songs written at that time. --Davy
