I have walked all across the desert,
I have walked all around the world
I have walked all across Americay
In my search for my own true love

I have sailed o'er the deepest oceans,
I have sailed o'er the seven seas,
I have sailed through the winds of winter
In my search for my own true love

Where shall rest I find
within my poor and troubled mind
When she is all the world to me?

How can rest be found
Till I at last am homeward bound And my true love is there with me?

I have climbed on the highest mountains,
I have charted seas both rough and wild,
I have ridden through the sands of Egypt,
In my search for my own true love

I have walked all across the desert,
I have walked all around the world
I have walked all across Americay
In my search for my own true love

15. Searching
(Heikkilä-McGowan) Another early lyric I put to Jore's melody – ah, those were the days when I used to actually DO things! Brings a tear to my eye just listening to Ilona and Tuomas as they travel down Memory Lane. --Davy

A retake of the track I made into 'Songs of Guilt and of Naïveté' , album 4. But this time much better singers, Tuomas and Ilona do the job. My version was based on old 'Orvot Sekvenssit' (PC midifile sounds on it) but now we have real living music. I have to admit, I have liked this melody very much (and lyrics, of course) --Jore
