Back to the juvelinia section, which Davy thought we did get rid of on the last box. Little did he know. This is one of the first Davy's lyrics to my old Orvot melody, almost a decade ago, made for Tarja to sing at the very beginning. For some unknown reason it was forgotten about - until now. Better late than never. I added guitar, bass and congas and brushes and got it sounding quite real. --Jore
I had hoped all those early skeletons were out of the cupboard by this time - but I think this was one of the earliest of all of my attempts to put words to some of Jore's 'orvot' melodies in 2003. Thankfully Tarja could make the numbers in the phone book eminently listenable if she chose to record it - so I'm lucky here. --Davy
sail on sailor, sail to my heart
sail by moonlight, say we'll never part
sail on sailor, sail home to me
cross the wide world and the briny sea
oh my love's deep as the deepest ocean wide
but i'm blue, as blue as the endlessly
deep blue sea that you see as you
sail on sailor
sail on sailor into the sun
where time and tide say "you are the one"
sail on sailor, sail home to me
cross the wide world and the briny sea
sail on home to me
sail on home to me
