15. Out Of The Blue
(McGowan)

The melancholy side of Davy gives birth to many beautiful songs, this is sure one of them. --Jore

I'm horrified to discover that the first ten notes of this are exactly the same as 'Jacaranda' - an instrumental by Sailor I remember from about 1976. I didn't realise it when I was writing it - maybe it was in my subconscious at the time - well, that's what I'll tell the judge anyway. --Davy

Sun upon the hill shining
Wind blown dreams are floating on the breeze
Cloudless with no sign of silver lining
Swallows diving down into the trees

And I will bring you love
Out of the blue sky
Out of the blue sky
Where nothing is asked in return
Yes I will bring you love
Out of the blue sky
Out of the blue sky
A love that's so hot it can burn

Feel the scent of taste around you
Warm spring meadow hides its life unseen
Patchwork quilt of fields and grass surround you
Colouring all the world yellow and green

And I will bring you love
Out of the blue sky
Out of the blue sky
Where nothing is asked in return
Yes I will bring you love
Out of the blue sky
Out of the blue sky
A love that's so hot it can burn
