They're living it up in Dreamland
That's where everyone longs to be
They're living the dream in Dreamland
Thinking everything's for free – that's the key
To their delusional state of mind
Till they see what they want's
Not what they find

They're having a ball in Dreamland
Where the streets are paved with gold
There's money on trees in Dreamland
That's the story they've been sold
They've been told that it's the path to happiness
There's no worries when you can
Buy a designer dress

But the trouble with Dreamland
Is that nightmare soon takes hold
Everything that you find there
Soon turns out to be fool's gold
But there's nobody listening
It's a story as old as time
As long as that gold is glistening
They'll be there to wait in line

For a ticket to Dreamland
Where everyone longs to be
They all wanna get to Dreamland
For everything there is free – that's the key
To their delusional state of mind
Till they see what they want's
Not what they find

6. Dreamland
(McGowan) Very beautiful, sensitive song by Davy. If you decided by some odd reason to listen only one track from this CD, pick this. -- Jore

I know Joni Mitchell has a track called 'Dreamland'. This is nothing like hers but maybe the title was in my sub-conscious. Guitar is tuned FACFAD. I think it worked out well. I suppose it's just a quiet rant at the consumer society – the greed and selfishness of it all; the hollow men and women who have to stuff themselves with designer labels to make them think they're happy – when, of course, they're not. Mark's bass & piano are excellent. --Davy
