I'm constantly astounded,
The wonder never wears,
At how many people think that
Death is no concern of theirs.

They're under the illusion
That they will live forever,
Despite the daily damage
They're doing to their liver.

They read the weekly obits
Saying, 'That's old Roger gone,'
As if their names will ne'er appear
For eyes to light upon.

Experience should point out to them
When they're 'on the town',
That Death is Nature's way of telling
Us all to slow down.

12. Illusions Of Immortality
(Heikkilä-McGowan) I think Jore has saved all my poems for Disc 4. I think he should put a melody to T.S. Eliot's 'The Waste Land'. There's a message in here somewhere -- Davy

The guitars works well occasionally. 12 string, too. I wish I could sing better. But wait for the next track! -- Jore
