I don't know if you can see
The changes that have come over me
In these last few days I've been afraid
That I might drift away
So I've been telling old stories, singing songs,
That make me think about where I come from
That's the reason why I seem so far away today

CHORUS:
Let me tell you that I love you
That I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me and now I'm going home
If I should become a stranger
you know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had

I have moved and I've kept on moving,
Proved the points that I needed proving
Lost the friends I needed losing,
Found others on the way
I have tried and I've kept on trying,
Stolen dreams, yes there's no denying
I have traveled far with conscience flying
Somewhere in the wind

CHORUS

Now I'm sitting here before the fire,
The empty room, the forest choir
The flames that couldn't get any higher
They've withered, now they've gone
But I'm steady thinking, my way is clear
And I know what I will do tomorrow
When the hands have shaken and the kisses flow
Then I will disappear

CHORUS

6. Caledonia
(Dougie MacLean) So now we have my version and Jore's version on two different BMB CDs? That's cool! My favourite version is Frankie Miller's. I'm not a big Dougie MacLean fan but I think this is a great song. Jore's cover is , of course, 'different' and laid back with some nice new chords Dougie never even thought of! -- Davy

We have also three different version of 'The Seller of the Stars' sung by Tuomas (on tj band's album), Davy and me! Looks like it's our favourite Don cover. But back to Caledonia: I redid all my singing parts and still this is what it is. To change the song to 4/4 instead of 3/4 came out naturally to my own suprise. I was wondering what was wrong when I realized I ought to stretch my singing to get the bar full. I'm happy with the organ part! And of course I'm happy with my new ukulele guitar (or guitalele) which I used as soon as I carried it home from the music shop. -- Jore
