We're going away in the morning time,
We're going away for the day,
We'll swim in the sea and run on the sand
And jump and skip and play

We're going away in the morning time,
We're going away for the day,
The sun will shine in the bright blue sky,
In the bright blue sky in May,
And we've brought our buckets and spades
To build a castle by the sandy bay.

We're going away in the morning time,
We're going away for the day,
With a picnic basket, lemonade
And cakes and buns on a tray.

We're going away in the morning time,
We're going away for the day,
And we'll see the shells on the sandy shore,
And the fish they swim away
And we've brought our buckets and spades
To build a castle by the sandy bay.

Round and round the wheels on the bus go,
Round and round and round.

We're going away in the morning time,
We're going away for the day,
The sun will shine in the bright blue sky,
In the bright blue sky in May,
And we've brought our buckets and spades
To build a castle by the sandy bay.

9. Away For The Day
(Heikkilä-McGowan) This was one of the first lyrics I wrote for a Joretune in 2003. There must be at least four different recorded versions of this now. The biggest surprise to me is that......It's happy! What about 'round and round the wheels on the chair go' in the drunk version! Ha! Ha! Good to hear Tuomas's voice on an up-to-date CD. I have to get back to Finland before all his daughters bankrupt him by getting married and he drinks himself to death! -- Davy

This is original tj band with lead vocals by Tuomas Laitila. I got my old 8 track reel to reel tape machine working again. There were some tracks I needed to got safe from the distant past and this was one of them. This was released on 'Davy in Parola 2003' double CD but never on any 'official' album. I just remixed it and added some backing vocals and a few piano hits. Nice lyrics by Davy. Tuomas also got an idea to arrange my other composition called 'Kingdom' within the song (those dabadaba -parts) -- Jore
