'I'd like to make a small request.'
So said my uninvited guest.
'What's that?' I asked whilst sweeping leaves
Which had descended from the trees.
'I'd like to ask if I could get
The loan of a small cigarette.'
'The loan?' I asked in a questioning way.
'Yes, I'll return it next Tuesday.'
I smiled and said, 'That's splendid news'
And handed him my Gaulois blues
In hopes that in me he would find
A benefactor of mankind.

4. The Loan Of A Cigarette
(Heikkilä - McGowan) My name is on the credits for this, so I guess I wrote the words – but I can't recall anything about it. Good of Jore to fit a fine tune around it and to sing it! --Davy

Oh, this! Now I remember. I was messing with two guitars and kind of having fun. Great funny poem Davy made once again. --Jore
