In some old dusty corner,
Where evening shadows hide,
The memories of forgotten years
Linger, side by side.

The button lost at breakfast,
While Jack was still a boy,
Lies underneath the floorboard,
With a once loved toy.

And though they're rusty relics
Of days of long ago,
The memory of what they were
Lives on, for all I know
