Ca' the yowes tae the knows
Ca' them whaur the heather grows
Ca' them whaur the burney rows
My bonnie dearie

Twas in the bonny month of June
When the woods aboot us hung
When a' floors were in their bloom
The nightingale sang sweetly

Will ye gang doon the waterside
The see the leaves sae sweetly glide
Beneath the hazels spreadi' wide
The moon it shines sae clearly

While waters wimple tae the sea
While day breaks in the night sae li'
Till clay cauld death sall blin' my een
You sall be my dearie

16. Ca' The Yowes
(Burns) I learned this years ago from The Corries 'Scottish Love Songs' album – it would be hard to better their version in my opinion – and this doesn't. Check out the original. --Davy

What a nice Robert Burns song and great arrangement. I didn't recognize it even though I should know about everything from Corries and Dougie MacLean who has also covered it. But Davy always makes his own arrangements, not trying to imitate anyone. --Jore
