She sits and sews she sits and spins
Collecting old tobacco tins
Saying, 'Farley Granger once sat here'
While I sit farting, drinking beer

Tomorrow morning, half past nine,
I'll have to learn to tell the time
If magic could be found and cured
The age of man could be endured

Where did I make my big mistake?
The ladder slides, the snake is taut
Where are the books that I have bought?

Oh deacon, when the ark is full
Define for us the golden rules
That we might break them one by one
And learn to stumble ere we run
