15. Once Upon a Time in Kansas
One summer eve it was quite a surprise to me
When my little boy, 6 years old, sat upon my knee
And said: Daddy, please, won't you explain it to me
I wonder what the word 'deception' might be?
I knew from my own experiences that now and always
There's a wealth of examples and that is British Airways
Deception is a word that may have a bad sound
But that, too, in the world of British Airways can be found
So I told my boy, when someone sells you tickets to the plane
All you have to do is make a change of flight in time
And when you realize the flight you have just cannot be received
There you sit with a false ticket, you know you've been deceived
One autumn eve it was quite a surprise to me
When my little boy, again sat upon my knee
And said: Daddy, please, won't you explain it to me
I wonder what the word 'pathetic' might be?
I knew from my own experiences that now and always
There's a wealth of examples and that is British Airways
Pathetic is a word that may have a bad sound
But that, too, in the world of British Airways can be found
You see, my son, when you write to the customer relations
To tell how your experiences have not met your expectations
And when they answer: 'Sorry! Hey, but aren't we just terrific?!'
That's the feeling I would say, describes quite well 'pathetic'
One winter eve it was quite a surprise to me
When my little boy, once more, sat upon my knee
And said: Daddy, please, won't you explain it to me
I wonder what the word 'happiness' might be?
I knew from my own experiences that now and always
There's a wealth of examples and that is British Airways
Happiness is a word that does have a good sound
But within BA it, however, never can be found
Happiness is something you should have, son, every day,
It's a state of mind that you don't want to give away
Forget all the bad things they are filled with in BA
Stay away from greed and everything will just be OK
